Community-minded staff from Norwich-based housing developer and regeneration specialist Lovell have raised more than £1,200 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
By taking part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning event run by Macmillan and holding office bake sales, Lovell staff have raised £1,223 for people living with cancer.
Lovell regional Simon Medler (on left) presents the money raised by Lovell to Macmillan Cancer Support fundraising manager Shaun Campbell.
Macmillan fundraising manager, Shaun Campbell says: “Seeing what great work Lovell do in the community and the way staff have supported Macmillan is something the company should feel very proud of.
“The money raised will go a huge way to supporting people living with cancer. At Macmillan we rely solely on generous fundraising from businesses and the public in Norfolk. Without the support from Lovell we wouldn’t be able to continue to support those who need it most
Lovell regional director Simon Medler says: “Everyone across the region was keen to get involved in support of such a worthwhile cause and it’s great that our teams have raised so much money to help Macmillan’s vital work
Every day 15 people in Norfolk hear the devastating news they have cancer, and seven people die from the illness. This will see Norfolk’s population of people living with cancer nearly double between 2010 and 2030.
