Housing developer Lovell has appointed Martin Boyce as project director for the company’s £320 million regeneration development in Woolwich, south east London.
Martin joins Lovell from Kier Residential to lead the delivery of the flagship project which is taking place in partnership with the Royal Borough of Greenwich and asra Housing Group. The scheme will transform three Woolwich council estates with around 1,500 new homes including 1,000 properties for open market sale and 500 affordable homes for asra. Demolition began in November 2015 with construction set to start this year.
Welcoming Martin to the company’s London senior management team, Lovell regional director Michael O’Farrell says: “Martin brings extensive industry experience and an exceptional record of managing the delivery of major housing projects to the very highest standards. I’m delighted that he will lead the construction of this landmark regeneration programme for Woolwich which will create high-quality modern homes as well as significant training and job opportunities for the area.”
During a construction career spanning nearly 30 years, Martin has held senior management roles with national housebuilders including Berkeley, Kier and Wilson Connolly (now Taylor Wimpey). Most recently he was area construction manager for Kier Residential. His outstanding record of achievement in the Pride in the Job awards – the housebuilding industry’s foremost accolade awarded by the NHBC, the new homes standard-setting body – includes four Pride in the Job Quality awards, two Seal of Excellence awards and one overall Regional Winner award.
