Lovell gives sponsorship kickstart to Nuneaton under-14s footballers with new kit deal

Young footballers from Nuneaton are celebrating striking a sponsorship deal with local housing regeneration specialist Lovell.

Lovell has provided brand-new match kit for the St Nicolas FC under-14s, enabling the side to play in style.

Team manager Mark Hollis says: “We are extremely grateful to Lovell for their help. The club receives no outside funding which means we have to pay for everything ourselves, including buying kit for the teams. Generous sponsorship support of this kind means we can keep our teams playing.

“Our under-14s squad is very well established. It includes many players who have been with us since they were small, having taken part in our soccer school for younger players, so they all know each other and get on well together.” St Nicolas FC is based at Nuneaton’s Ambleside Sports Club. The under-14 side plays in the Coventry and Warwickshire Youth League U14 Division B.

Lovell partnering manager Carl Yale says: “Clubs like St Nicolas FC play a very important part in local communities, offering young people fantastic opportunities to enjoy sport and become part of a team. As a company, we get involved with local organisations and groups wherever we can to extend the benefits of the work we do to as many residents as possible. We’re delighted to be sponsoring the team kit for the St Nicolas under-14s side and wish them the best of luck with the rest of the season.”

Lovell recently began working on a major housing improvement programme for Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council. The company has been appointed to carry out £2.5 million of housing improvement work for local council homes over the next three years. The large-scale refurbishment programme will see Lovell transforming homes with new kitchens and bathrooms, as well as carrying out other improvements including installing level-access showers. In the first phase of the work, 300 homes at the Grove Farm estate, Nuneaton, will be refurbished by May 2017.
