Lovell has supported the Birmingham Homeless Gift Appeal organised by city-based housing organisation Midland Heart. The appeal has led to the donation of over 200 gift packs containing essential items which will support rough sleepers in Birmingham.
Amanda Nicklin, Midland Heart’s Homeless Services manager, said: “We have been completely overwhelmed by the wonderful support we have received from both our staff and contractors. We put out a call for a list of essential items that would help rough sleepers in Birmingham to feel a little more comfortable on their first night indoors and the response was fantastic.
“By joining forces we were able to collect enough items to make up over 200 gift packs that really will make a difference to those accessing accommodation and support this winter.”
The team were also supported by partners in the city, Attwood Health Clinic, local charity Socks and Chocs and the Anti Money Laundering Supervision Team at Birmingham City Council to provide toothbrushes, toothpaste and socks, hats and a range of other items for the gift bags.
The gifts were packed at the Midland Heart head office in Birmingham and will be distributed to those accessing accommodation through the cold winter month.
