Lovell is set to create 73 new village homes in Lincolnshire through a £13.2 million scheme in Branston, near Lincoln.
The Spires will bring much-needed one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom houses to a site off Moor Lane on the southern fringe of the village. Lovell will build 47 homes for sale as well as 26 affordable homes for housing provider Longhurst Group.
Sensitively designed to complement nearby housing, the scheme will provide a mix of traditionally styled homes, including semi-detached and detached properties, offering homes perfect for residents ranging from single people and couples to families.
Lovell is set to start preparatory work this year before beginning construction in early 2018. The overall development is set to be completed in early 2020.
Situated next to the village playing fields, the development – which includes an area of public open space – will be within walking or cycling distance of shops and public transport. There are excellent schools locally, including Branston C of E Infant School and Branston Community Academy which are both rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted. The new homes are also well located for commuters: the development has easy access to the A15, leading to Sleaford and Peterborough, while the A46 takes you to Newark-on-Trent and Leicester. The village of Branston is just four miles south-east of Lincoln where the city’s railway station provides regular services to Leicester, Nottingham, Peterborough, Sheffield and Grimsby.
