Lovell-sponsored hanging baskets help Stowmarket blossom

Bloom-filled hanging baskets are brightening Stowmarket’s Wolsey Road shops this summer thanks to Stowmarket Town Council and Lovell.

As part of its commitment to creating benefits for local communities, Lovell has sponsored the council’s colourful floral display.

Flower-filled hanging baskets are brightening Stowmarket’s Wolsey Road shops this summer thanks to Stowmarket Town Council and local partnership housing developer Lovell.

The Lovell team is working on a large-scale regeneration project locally for housing association Orbit, redeveloping post-war Unity houses at six sites across Stowmarket, Woolpit and Haughley. Through the regeneration programme, Lovell is building 164 modern, energy-efficient homes for social and affordable rent, shared ownership and outright sale. The high-quality brand-new homes will replace 86 outdated Unity properties. In Stowmarket, Lovell has so far completed 59 new homes.

“We would like to thank Lovell for their generous contribution towards the hanging baskets.  The Town Council has received numerous positive comments as to how they have enhanced the area,” says Stowmarket Town Mayor, Councillor Dave Muller.

“It’s been great to help out with the hanging baskets for the second year,” says Lovell regional managing director Simon Medler. “Bringing about improvements for local communities is central to the work we do and we were delighted to be able to give the Town Council our support.”
