Lovell has appointed Richard Williams as land manager to drive its ambitious growth strategy for its South West residential developments portfolio.
Richard brings wide-ranging knowledge of the regional property market to his new role. His 17-year career has included working as a property consultant for South West property specialist Alder King LLP. He joins us from retirement housing developer Blue Cedar Homes where he held the position of land manager.
Based in Bristol, Richard will be responsible for identifying and acquiring sites in the South West for new homes development. The company has a strong record in the region both as a developer of open market housing for sale and as a builder of new affordable homes – including homes for affordable and social rent and shared ownership – in partnership with housing associations and local authorities.
Regional managing director Kate Rees says: “Richard will take the lead on identifying land opportunities for us locally as we look to increase our portfolio of residential developments. We’re very pleased to have attracted someone with his extensive regional knowledge and wealth of sector experience to support the significant expansion of our business in the South West.”
Richard, who is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, says: “I’m excited to be joining a company with such a respected record in residential construction and delighted to be helping take forward Lovell’s plans to grow its business in the region.”
