Leading partnership homes developer Lovell is continuing to support the local community in Nuneaton by sponsoring the Weddington Jays U8s football club for its current season.
As a new team in its first full season, the club relies upon sponsorship from local businesses to keep it running. Lovell has donated £300, which has been put towards training shirts for the entire team and coaches.
David Hemming, Weddington Sports U8 Jays Manager, said: “As a new team starting its football journey, we rely on the generosity of local businesses to enable us to purchase the tools needed to ensure the children that train with us get the most out of the sport.
“We are a small community club run 100% by volunteers, based in the heart of Nuneaton and we are extremely proud of what we do. To see the children playing a game they love with a smile on their faces makes it all worthwhile.
“We are very grateful for Lovell’s generous contribution and the support we have received from them.”
Stuart Penn, regional managing director at Lovell, said: “At Lovell we work hard to support local community groups and organisations as much as we can and that is why we are so proud to be able to fund their training shirts.”
Lovell is a leading provider of partnership housing with over 40 years’ experience and is currently in its fourth year of working for Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council on their kitchen and bathrooms planned maintenance programme, as well as converting the empty council house office building into flats for local people.
