Lovell has been presented with the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) President’s Award for its excellent safety performance in East Anglia over the past 11 years.
The award marks the achievement of 11 consecutive Gold RoSPA awards for our safety record and systems at our construction sites and offices across the region, where our office is in Thorpe Road, Norwich.
Open to all types of businesses and organisations across the UK, the annual awards scheme is run by leading safety charity RoSPA, which is celebrating its centenary this year.
Julia Small, RoSPA’s head of awards and events, says: “The RoSPA Awards are the most prestigious in the world of occupational health and safety, and held in high regard around the world, as winning one demonstrates an organisation’s commitment to maintaining an excellent health and safety record. Achieving the standard required is no mean feat.”
Our regional managing director Simon Medler says: “The safety of our employees, our subcontractors and the general public is our highest priority and it’s rewarding to be recognised by RoSPA for a consistently excellent safety performance over more than a decade. I’d like to thank all our teams and subcontractor partners for their continuing professionalism, hard work and commitment to accident prevention.”
In East Anglia, we are working on high-profile housing schemes across the region, including Firs Park in Hellesdon, Norwich, our successful development of 67 open market sale and affordable homes within easy reach of the city centre. Among other prominent Norfolk, developments are Heath Farm at Holt, which will create 213 open market sale, shared ownership and affordable rented homes.
We are also building Maple Park, a £7.9 million scheme for Big Sky Developments – South Norfolk Council’s development company – which is creating 50 village homes and 800 sqm of commercial space in Long Stratton. In King’s Lynn, a partnership with the Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk will see us build 355 new homes locally by 2020. This summer we launched the sales and marketing suite for 130 homes at Orchard Place, Marsh Lane, King’s Lynn, which make up the first phase of new housing.
