The plans to redevelop the 1970s-built West Ealing estate have been produced in close consultation with Ealing Council and local residents, and are set to create a thriving, mixed tenure community of brand-new homes which will give residents better access to local transport connections and shopping facilities.
Lovell has been appointed as part of a £15.9 million contract to deliver the first phase of work which will involve the demolition of 69 homes on the western part of the estate, including the Archer House tower block, and the creation of 71 new homes for social rent.
The new homes will achieve a standard equivalent to Level 4 of the Code for Sustainable Homes and will incorporate sustainable technology including living green roofs, solar panels and a centralised heating plant for the maisonettes and flats.
