Construction will start in early 2019 on Ingleby View, a £26 million high-quality residential development which already has detailed planning consent.
The scheme will create 119 two-, three- and four-bedroom homes for sale and 14 affordable two- and three-bedroom houses at a site on the north-eastern edge of the village, bordering open fields.
Homes will benefit from a sought-after, well-established residential location which is in walking distance of shops and public transport, including the village railway station, less than a mile away. Saxilby is in the West Lindsey district of Lincolnshire and six miles north-west of Lincoln.
“We are extremely pleased to have secured this attractive site and look forward to creating new homes in such a fantastic place to live,” says Lovell regional managing director Robert Adams. “Our development has been carefully designed to complement the surrounding neighbourhood whilst also helping meet this thriving village community’s pressing need for new homes.
“We’ll be creating a wide selection of appealing family homes with house types which work for modern lifestyles. As well as homes for sale, it will also include affordable homes available through affordable housing provider Acis.” The first new homes for sale are expected to be available in summer 2019.
The setting of the new development will be enhanced by its landscaping, including the retention of existing trees and hedgerows wherever possible. It will feature an extensive central open space and a play area, with other benefits including a new footpath to the nearby Grade 1-listed Church of St Botolph.
The design also ensures an uninterrupted view of the historic church from the north of the site. Access to Ingleby View will be from Sturton Road and Church Lane, with a new road set to run through the development between the two access points.
