A team of amateur footballers from Lovell Homes East Anglia dusted off their football boots and went toe to toe with borough council adversaries in a charity football match which raised £565 for charity.

Players for the local housebuilder recently challenged the Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk at Alive Lynnsport in a battle for victory. The match was in aid of The Fire Fighter’s Charity and West Norfolk Mind.

The Firefighter’s Charity is dedicated to facilitating recovery and raising the quality of life for fire and rescue service members. The support resources they offer include rehabilitation, nursing, recuperation, psychology and nursing. The final figure for The Fire Fighter’s Charity JustGiving page was £370.

West Norfolk Mind is an independent charity that offers mental health services to the King’s Lynn community and strives to engage in positive conversations surrounding mental health issues. The cash collection for West Norfolk Mind amounted to a grand total of £195.

Multi-talented coach and construction manager at Lovell Homes East Anglia, Michael Saunders, said: “We are delighted that we are able to make this contribution to two incredible charities. Lovell are proud to support the inspiring work they both do.”

“The football match was a great success and thoroughly enjoyed by all.”

Sam Garrod at the Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk, who captained their football team, added: “It was a brilliant day and a wonderful experience to be a part of. The match really helped to lift community spirits and we were thrilled to contribute to two incredible Norfolk charities.”

Lovell is also a proud sponsor and judge of the Investing in Future Growth category at this year’s Norfolk Business Awards where it will recognise and reward like-minded organisations and promote the outstanding investments made by Norfolk businesses.

Lovell’s portfolio in East Anglia includes developments in King’s Lynn, Holt, Fakenham, Gislingham and Mendlesham, with a range of homes for sale at each.
