Lovell were appointed in summer 2014 to develop the £43 million Electric Quarter scheme, named in honour of electric lightbulb inventor Joseph Swan who lived on the high street. We were chosen because of our flexible and collaborative approach to the partnership.
Once completed, the mixed-use scheme will deliver 167 new homes in two phases, along with 1,050sqm of new commercial and retail space and a contemporary new home for Ponders End Library, due to be relocated as part of the works.
The last year has been a great challenge butwith Lovell we have managed to keep things running smoothly. Lovell have been very generous with their support of our community events and helped us to make our awareness events a great success. It has been a real pleasure having Lovell as our neighbours – they have a great sense of community which is quite rare where large developments are taking place.”
