The Lovell Major Projects division has successfully undertaken the development of a number of large complex developments over many years. The division is formed in response to specific clients needs and specialises in delivering complex projects of a bespoke nature outside of the normal regional realm. These predominately focus on large scale housing outputs, high quality build, speed of production and delivering on time.

All of this is carried out with regard to the highest degree of health and safety standards.

From the inner city regeneration of Miles Platting, through to the present day project at Salisbury Plain the Major Projects division has excelled in every scheme it has worked on.

The major projects team has the ability to deliver large scale developments at pace. Set up originally to build the successful regeneration of the Miles Platting area of Manchester, the team delivered another two schemes for the Defence Infrastructure Organisation in Stafford and Salisbury Plain.

Miles Platting incorporated the delivery of 1,500 refurbishments, including seven towers, and built an Extra Care block alongside 20 new large family houses as part of the private finance initiative negotiated by Lovell. Major projects established the provision of licenses for the acquisition of land as part of the negotiation, this enabled the North West regional business to develop a further 1,000 homes for sale.

Beacon Barracks in Stafford, a scheme comprising of 346 service family homes for the Defence Infrastructure Organisation. At its peak, the project delivered 15 homes per week to the client, which at the time was unprecedented in UK low rise housing. The speed of delivery and quality of build of this project positioned Lovell to be the ideal choice for Salisbury Plain.

The scheme in Salisbury Plain training area comprised of three sites. Over 900 homes were built in 2 and a half years making it the quickest build rate in Europe at the time. At one point, over 20 completed homes were delivered per week.
