Signal Park is the first phase of a new Shared Ownership Development in Tolworth. Constructed over two years, Signal Park features a 211 1, 2 and 3-bedroom apartments and commercial spaces, including a creche.

We have worked alongside Guinness to tackle housing inequalities by deliver a high-quality, affordable and sustainable solution for home buyers just inside Greater London.

Improving the Environment:

  1. Carbonica Assessment: Signal Park lead the way for Lovell, conducting the first Whole Life Carbon Assessment. From this they were able to identify carbon hotspots and better understand how these could be reduced in future builds. The assessment found Signal Park was outperforming whole life carbon targets set by Morgan Sindall by 314kgCO2/m2.

  1. Repurposed Bike Rack – The site manager repurposed a used cable hold as a bike rack. This innovative technique reduced waste and helped to encourage staff to cycle to work, promoting a healthier lifestyle and potentially lowered vehicle emissions.

  1. EV charging points: In addition to 21 planned EV charging points for residential development, we have also installed an EV charging point within our site compound to encourage electrical vehicle uptake amongst the work force throughout the construction phase. Electric vehicles have a reduced carbon footprint when compared to traditional fuel powered vehicles.

  1. Pallet Loop: We have utilised Pallet Loop to return our used pallets back into the supply chain to be repaired and reused. This has significantly reduced timber waste removed from site and has contributed to the circular economy. So far, Signal Park have returned 1,744 pallets to the supply chain saving 300.3KgCO2e.

  1. Community Wood Recycling: We have partnered with Community Wood Recycling to support local people from disadvantaged backgrounds – such as ex-veterans and people with learning disabilities. By working with CWR we have helped to return materials back into the supply chain, thus avoiding waste and supporting disadvantaged groups in their return to the work force.

  1. HVO: Signal Park have achieved a 94% HVO usage, making carbon savings of up to 90% compared to traditional fuels. Signal Park used 89,789litres of HVO which when compared to diesel has saved up to 216.59tonnes/CO2e, the equivalent of 531 passenger flights from Paris to New York.
