As part of the Morgan Sindall Group, Lovell are delighted the Dorn Valley Woodlands (as part of our 25-year initiative with Blenheim Estate Land to help plant 270,000 trees) has been shortlisted in this year’s Net-Zero Innovation of the Year category for the edie awards!

To date (December 2022), as planting of the first 100 ha of the scheme neared completion nearly 200,000 trees have been planted in the first 7 of the 9 planned woodlands. 70,000 will be planted next season and a total of 27 different species have been selected. This is such an achievement in less than 18 months from the initial concept.

Well done to all involved, and our colleagues across the Morgan Sindall Group for helping to create a legacy for generations to come.

“This is about creating a legacy with an environmental net gain and the creation of substantial natural capital, across the board”

As part of our collective commitment to sustainability, we couldn’t be more proud of being part of the Morgan Sindall Group, as our parent company announced the planting of 270,000 trees across 138 hectares on the famous Blenheim Estate in Oxfordshire

This is a huge commitment and over 25 years this will sequester a total of 22,000 tonnes of carbon. As well as the trees, the project will create nine new woodlands and over 15km of new footpaths.
