Next generation technology, today
The Lovell Tomorrow home is part of our ongoing commitment to protect the environment and showcase cutting-edge technologies.
The world we live in is changing, and the construction industry has a responsibility to change with it, to provide a sustainable, prosperous and more equitable future for the next generation and beyond.

Trialling advanced technologies
By trialling a range of advanced technologies, we're seeking to determine the most efficient, reliable and cost-effective solutions for living. These include air source heat pumps, triple-glazed windows, solar panels, battery storage, wastewater heat recovery, and infrared heating. In partnership with Teeside University and an external consultancy, we are gathering valuable insights that will help inform future housing designs and contribute to the broader decarbonisation strategy.
Pioneering sustainable living
The Lovell Tomorrow Home is part of our ongoing commitment to protecting the environment and advancing sustainable technologies. These eco-friendly trial homes, located at Cornish Park in Spennymoor, are designed to showcase innovative solutions for reducing carbon emissions.
Future Homes Standard
The Future Homes Standard aims to cut carbon emissions from new homes by 75%-80%. By improving energy efficiency and ventilation, this regulation will help meet the UK's ambitious target of net-zero emissions by 2050. The Tomorrow Home is designed to test and demonstrate how we can meet these future standards today, and it aligns with our internal Morgan Sindall Group target to reduce emissions by 60% by 2030.
Lovell is already implementing the Future Homes Standard across a number of our developments, testing alternative construction methods and specifications to ensure that we can meet—and exceed—the new requirements. The Tomorrow Home is just one of the many ways we are leading the charge in delivering more sustainable, energy-efficient homes for the future.
