Lovell Partnerships has been granted planning approval for a new residential development at 345 Southwark Park Road for 46 new apartments.

The 46 apartments will comprise of 22 affordable and 24 private homes including one, two and three bedrooms. Lovell will demolish the existing building to build the new residential development which will also provide flexible commercial space on the ground floor.

The seven storey development was granted unanimous approval at a Southwark Council Committee Meeting on Tuesday 17th November. Lovell has been working closely with London Borough of Southwark to deliver much needed affordable homes in the borough.

Stuart Gibbons, Regional Managing Director at Lovell London and Southern, said: “We are delighted to have been granted planning permission to transform an under utilised building at 345 Southwark Park Road into a landmark site in Southwark which will deliver quality new affordable housing. We have been working closely with London Borough of Soutwark through a dedicated programme of investment, partnership and housing delivery.”

Mick Laws, Development and Pre-commencement Director at Lovell London, said: “This is another major regeneration scheme for Southwark which will provide quality, energy efficient homes to people living and working locally.”

It is anticipated that construction on the new development will start in early Spring 2021.
