Representatives from Repton joined us on-site at the start of December to see the progress at Bowlers Green – a new homes site at Lowestoft Road, Hopton-on-Sea. Situated between Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft, at the UK’s most easterly point, Bowlers Green will feature 140 homes for the open market, built in partnership with Repton Property Developments. Newtide Homes will manage a mixture of 60 shared ownership and affordable rented homes. Show homes will be available to view at the development in the spring.
Hopton is Lovell’s second project with Repton. The first being St Edmund’s Park in Acle, which began last summer. 69 open market properties, comprising two, three and four bedroom houses, plus two and three bedroom bungalows, are being built. The site is already proving popular, with 12 off-plan reservations made even before the two show homes and permanent marketing suite opened.
Further projects between Lovell and Repton are expected to be announced in 2022.
Simon Medler, regional managing director of Lovell in East Anglia said: “We have a strong record of working with local authorities and partner organisations, and have developed an excellent strategic partnership with Repton Property Services using our joint expertise to increase the supply of much-needed new homes locally. Bowlers Green is set in a fantastic location on the coastline border of Norfolk and Suffolk, with beaches and countryside on the doorstep. We believe these new homes will prove really popular.”
Cllr. Andrew Proctor, Leader of Norfolk County Council, said: “This is a key milestone for Repton as we see the start of a brand new housing development in our continuing partnership with Lovell. Together we are building a wide range of high-quality homes that people want across Norfolk. The homes have a real feel of interior space and the build quality is excellent - they really are set up for family living. Hopton is the next scheme under way and we look forward to seeing new residents there as this community grows.”
