Lovell and King’s Lynn & West Norfolk Borough Council raise £4,425 from 24-hour charity challenge

On Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th September 2022, Lovell and King’s Lynn & West Norfolk Council held a 24-hour charity challenge in King’s Lynn in memory of a colleague and we can now reveal that the amount raised from the challenge is £4,425 with donations still coming in.

The event was held in tribute to Alan Gillings, Clerk of Works at the council, who sadly passed away earlier this year at Tapping House.

Included in the total figure is a £2,000 donation from Lovell.

Michael Saunders, our Operations Manager, said: “We are so proud of everyone who took part in this challenge and who has helped us raise such an incredible amount of money for the charities chosen by Alan’s family. People from all departments at Lovell and the Borough Council took part, and, as well as doing something positive for charity, it was also a great team-building event. We even had some people from The Fire Service who joined in with the event.”

A JustGiving page has been set up for the challenge, with donations still welcome. Click here to donate.

The event was held close to our 105-development, Nar Valley Park, in Kings Lynn.
