The Top 100 Influential Women in Construction Awards aim to showcase women in the industry, and to make female and non-binary role models more visible and accessible. The nominations shine a light on those who are working to support equality, diversion and inclusion across the housebuilding sector.
The Awards are split across four categories, including ‘Unsung Heroes’ for women who work at an operational or site level, ‘Influential List’ for women who operate within the client, contractor or design sector, ‘One to Watch’ for those who are new to the industry, and ‘Allies’, which is for both women and men who are active in their support of women in construction.
A panel of independent judges will decide the overall winners for each category, who will be announced during an exclusive event in Manchester, on 27th October 2022.
Catherine Evans is one of three nominees to be shortlisted in the ‘Unsung Hero – Wales’ category, and has worked at Lovell since 2000.
Catherine said: “I’m delighted to have been shortlisted as a finalist in the NFB’s Top 100 Influential Women in Construction Awards. As finalists, we represent a huge number of people that go out every day, doing what we do, making the industry tick and challenging prejudice.
“I’ve been in the industry for 35 years, and still love what I do. Receiving this nomination is one of the proudest moments in my career, and I’d like to thank everyone at Lovell for all of their support.”
James Duffett, regional managing director at Lovell, said: “I am incredibly proud that Catherine has been shortlisted for this award, as she thoroughly deserves to be recognised as an unsung hero.
“Catherine is a wonderful role model, both for fellow Lovell employees and for women in the wider construction industry. For her to receive this nomination is a huge honour and incredible achievement, and I wish Catherine the best of luck.”
