This month some of our Lovell team attended careers events at Wymondham High School and Stradbroke High School to discuss opportunities in construction.

Kynleigh Parker, Trainee Assistant Site Manager, and James Johnson, Assistant Site Manager at our All Saints Green development at Stradbroke, visited Stradbroke High School to talk to Year 9 students and deliver activities for 60 students. The Lovell team also attended Wymondham High School with our regional partnerships director, Sasha Bainbridge.

In addition to discussing career opportunities in the construction industry, students had the chance to have a go at bricklaying. To make it more exciting, we added a competitive element where we challenged the students to build the tallest tower in 30 seconds with the winner receiving some Lovell prizes!

Kynleigh Parker said: “We discussed pathways into construction and the variety of opportunities on offer and highlighted all the fantastic roles we have in the industry. The students were engaged and enthusiastic about both a career in construction and our ‘brickwork’ and ‘build a tower’ challenges – it was super fun and I think we had just as much fun as the students!”
