Continuing our commitment to education and skills nurturing of the next generation, Lovell has participated in a career-focused initiative with St John Bosco Art College in Croxteth, Liverpool.

In a strategic approach to support schools in the Northwest and help promote a career in the construction industry, two dedicated colleagues from Lovell visited Year 12 students on 23 November.

During an impactful session, Lovell provided valuable interview support and CV mentoring to the students helping to prepare them for future endeavours.

The event, hosted by St John Bosco Art College, focused on supporting students through personalised feedback sessions. Representatives from Lovell shared their industry insights and offered guidance to help students navigate their academic and professional journeys.

Laura Taylor, community engagement manager for Lovell in the Northwest, said: “This initiative is a testament to Lovell's dedication to empowering young minds as well as giving them invaluable insight to the world of work.

“The engagement with the college is part of Lovell's broader partnership with Cobalt Housing, where the company is actively involved in the Waterdale Gardens Development which comprises of 88 new homes on the former Showcase car park. By extending support to the school, Lovell aims to contribute to the local community and facilitate a seamless transition for students as they progress in their education.”

Kayleigh Clarke, Development Officer at Cobalt Housing says – “Thank you to Laura and the team at Lovell for providing an informative and enjoyable day to the pupils at St John Bosco Arts College – career awareness is often an ‘after thought’ amongst 15/ 16-year-olds, but I’m sure your advice has made an invaluable impact”

Lovell remains committed to its role as a responsible business, actively participating in initiatives that not only promote the construction industry but also inspire young individuals to reach their full potential.
