On Wednesday 27th March, Lovell attended Hellesdon High School & Sixth Form Careers Fair, part of Wensum Trust, to engage and inspire students about a career in construction.

The careers fair has been designed to provide year 10, 11, 12 and 13 students with valuable interactions with a range of employers.

Tom Goodison-Gates, Olivia Eves, and Ryan Harris-Smith attended the event on behalf of Lovell.

During the day, our team shed light on the variety of roles available within the construction industry, aiming to inspire students to consider a career in construction. They were also on hand to answer any questions.

Students had the opportunity to take part in a practical and competitive activity – a challenge to build the tallest tower in 30 seconds. The record is currently held by a year 7 student!

Students also had the opportunity to pick up a range of informative leaflets, along with Lovell stationery.

Olivia Eves, Assistant Technical Co-ordinator at Lovell commented: β€œit was great to be a part of the careers fair and to see all of the interest from the students. I hope that we have inspired more people to join the industry!”

Lovell works in partnership with The Wensum Trust to help tackle the skills and job shortage in the construction industry and educate young people about the range of career opportunities in the sector.
