Lovell senior site manager Matthew Smith has won an NHBC pride in the job Quality Award. The award demonstrates the dedication, passion, commitment and leadership it takes to build homes of an exceptional quality.

In its 44th year, the NHBC Pride in the job Quality Award is highly regarded in the construction industry and is seen as a prestigious benchmark for exceptional site managers. It has a core purpose of raising standards in the construction industry specifically within the house building industry. Site managers are assessed across six key areas: consistency, attention to detail, leadership, interpretation of drawings and specifications, technical expertise and health and safety. Throughout the judging period, there are thousands of inspections to determine the 449 winners from a field of more than 8,000 sites, representing the top 5% of UK site managers.

Matthew Smith, site manager at Bowlers Green at Hopton-on-Sea said: “Winning this award is a massive achievement and it reflects the fantastic Lovell team we have on site at Bowlers Green, all working hard to build stylish quality homes. I’m really proud to have won this award and we know how much our community is enjoying life at Bowlers Green – set in a fantastic site by the sea.”

A massive congratulations to Matthew on achieving this. Matthew will now go on to compete for Seal of Excellence and regional awards later this year at the award ceremony, with the national Supreme Award winners unveiled in January 2025.
