On Monday 20th May 2024, Lovell and the Borough Council team visited Howard Junior School in King’s Lynn to present an assembly to students.

The school is close to our upcoming Florence Fields development at Parkway – where we are building quality one, two, three and four bedroom homes that will soon be available to buy. This development is in partnership with the Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk.

Kyle Farr and Michael Saunders from Lovell and Kiley Chilvers from Borough Council of Kings Lynn and West Norfolk presented an assembly to around 100 children about the development, and provided information on the types of homes we are building, some facts about construction and the building process, as well as the dangers of building sites. We have also set the children a task to create a safety poster, to go on to the building site hoarding. Our team will judge them and provide prizes for the best in each category.

Michael Saunders, operations manager at Lovell, said: “Our Florence Fields development is within close proximity to the school, and we recognise the importance of educating children about the dangers of construction sites and the importance of site safety. Visiting Howard Junior School was a great opportunity to connect with our local community and get children interested in construction, and we look forward to returning to see the posters they have designed!”

James Grant, Principal Project Manager at the Borough Council said; “Its great our teams are able to go out into the community and present what we are doing as a partnership.  It is so important we share the message about health and safety on a construction site – including how local residents and children keep safe too.  We hope talks like these to young people will inspire them into a career in construction – not only teaching them about health and safety.”
