On Wednesday 9 October 2024, a Women in Construction lunch is taking place at West Suffolk College and our trainee site manager Kynleigh Parker will be one of the members on the panel.

The Women in Construction lunch aims to bridge the gap between industry and education, and bring women in the industry together to share their stories and inspire the next generation. There will be an opportunity for students and trainees to provide feedback, enabling them to gain valuable insights for their future careers. Professionals will benefit from fresh perspectives and the chance to mentor emerging talent, shaping the industry's future.

The event will feature a panel discussion which Kynleigh will be a part of, providing a valuable insight on women in the industry, having recently won the ‘One to Watch’ award in the Construction Industry Training Board’s ‘top 100 most influential women in construction 2024’.

Kynleigh said: “I’m so grateful to have been asked to speak on the panel at the Women in Construction lunch and to have the opportunity to inspire and empower the next generation of women in construction. It’s really important that we can inspire more women to join the industry and help give them the tools, knowledge and the support to explore opportunities.”

The event Hosted by Construction Anglia & Sponsored by Castons Artelia Group, Sizewell C and DPL Group, is also supported by West Suffolk College, CITB, Eastern Education Group and Friel.
