Lovell Partnerships has announced several senior promotions to reflect its growing presence in the East Midlands since opening its dedicated office earlier this year.

Three of the team have been promoted from managerial to director roles - Lewis Charity into the role of regional technical director, Tim Mansell to regional operations director and Beth Bundonis to regional commercial director. The three appointments will provide the support and infrastructure necessary to help drive the planned growth throughout the East Midlands region.

Starting as a 19-year-old trainee, Beth has had one of the most impressive journeys within Lovell, rising through the ranks of the commercial team, all while making time for motherhood in her journey. Throughout her career, she has been passionate about inspiring the next generation of women into the industry thanks to those role models who inspired her own development.

Speaking of her experience, Beth said: “I have learned so much during my time with Lovell, working on some incredible projects in various roles. I have been supported at every step, even when I had my twins in 2015, and I knew I wanted to come back and continue that journey. While there have been women in senior positions before, I am grateful that Lovell saw potential in me, helped me grow with the business and chose to put me forward as commercial director as I do feel a certain responsibility to encourage the next generation of women to make a successful mark in the industry.”

Along with Lewis and Tim, Beth will provide additional leadership within the Lovell East Midland’s regional office and across the firm’s growing number of operational sites.

Beth, who steps up from commercial manager, added: “Lovell’s expansion in the East Midlands has been impressive so far, with projects right across the region continuing to move forward. I have worked on a number of these schemes from all sides as I have progressed through Lovell - so being on the forefront of driving the growth coming from those same developments is a very exciting step in my career.”

Newly appointed regional operations director, Tim, has also carved his long-term career path with Lovell over more than a decade, starting as senior site manager and later operations manager. Highlights of his career include his work with the Ministry of Defence (MoD), building more than 300 homes for returning soldiers in Stafford and 917 service family homes in the Salisbury Plain project.

He said: “It’s the diverse mix of projects we build and the unique ethos at Lovell that drew me and has kept me here. I admire how Lovell invests in its people and can see potential in everyone – it's like a large family. I’ve been particularly proud of the work I did with the MoD delivering homes in record time to service families. I’m looking forward to being an instrumental part in what happens in the East Midlands and implementing what we have planned.”

Starting with Lovell Partnerships less than a year ago, Lewis Charity has already taken a step up from technical manager to technical director for the region, as a result of his impressive start with the business. With more than 20 years in the housebuilding industry, Lewis has a passion for partnerships and regeneration.

He said: “I joined Lovell at an exciting time for the company and have been lucky to play a part in our expansion in the East Midlands so far. I’m thrilled to see the growth of the business unit continue and to help drive it further forward, nurture and strengthen existing relationships and help forge new opportunities and partnerships. There is a great buzz and drive within the team, and it really feels like the start of an exciting journey.”

Stuart Penn, regional managing director at Lovell Partnerships, said: “I’m delighted to congratulate Tim, Lewis and Beth and am excited about working closely with them all to continue our growth in the East Midlands to make it a successful and sustainable business unit by unlocking the opportunity in the region. The commitment from the wider business to make this happen continues without question and the appointments of Beth, Tim and Lewis will be invaluable in supporting this goal.

“I’m confident in our position and now with the right people, we will continue to drive the whole business forward. These changes will provide important structure and support and ensure continued success across the region.”

Lovell Partnerships opened its dedicated East Midlands office in Derby’s Pride Park earlier this year, securing its commitment to a successful future working to meet the region’s housing needs. To date, it has successfully launched five sites within the region, with plans for further site starts before the end of 2022.
