We believe that investing in apprentices is an important way of attracting a diverse range of talented people into our company and the construction industry generally. We recruit local apprentices who go on to become the next generation of skilled Lovell employees.
There are currently over 30 apprentices in our business, working on two or three-year schemes through the Lovell Craft Academy combined with focused on-site training to perfect their skills.
Around 97% of our apprentices complete their course, compared with an industry average of 74%.
Most importantly, especially for disadvantaged communities, our apprenticeships result in real jobs – usually with Lovell or one of our trusted subcontractors.

“My apprenticeship is enabling me to gain the essential site experience I need to gain my NVQ qualification, and it means I can earn as I learn and every day on site is different.”
