The news was announced at Housing 2022 this week and comes following the two companies working in partnership to develop four later living extra care communities to date, with a fifth in planning. The partners will combine their expertise while working in partnership with Local Authorities and Health colleagues, to deliver a strong pipeline of much needed homes and care solutions for older people.

Working alongside Local Authorities and Health colleagues, we’ll be creating healthy communities by combining quality homes aligned with care solutions for older people.”

We chose this event to formalise our Strategic Partnership, as it was an ideal opportunity to collectively consider, discuss and create conversation on how we can, as a partnership, influence and improve the design and accelerate the delivery of age – appropriate homes solutions fit for the future.”
Paula continued, “Opportunities to shape the future of later living solutions and challenging the status quo, come through collaboration and coproduction with our customers. Working in partnership, sharing ideas and inspiration through events like the Roundtable, bringing together experts in design, build, operations, investment, and consultees to stimulate progress and the next generation in later living communities.
Prior to this official Partnering agreement, Places for People Living Plus and Lovell Later Living have successfully delivered two communities, Burchester Court in Grimsby and Nightingale Lodge in Romsey – offering independent living apartments for people over 55 who have care and support needs. Work is currently underway on two further communities, Spinnaker View in Gosport and Wooldridge View in New Milton due for completion in 2023. Plus, the first of many extra care, independent living communities in Norfolk being progressed is awaiting planning consent in Hunstanton.
Libby Eastley added: “The latest communities in our successful partnership – a collaboration that will see a total of 164 homes delivered by next year – will be further strengthened by the 50 homes at our Wooldridge View community in New Milton by the end of 2023. Additional planning applications for 61 apartments with communal facilities in Hunstanton is awaiting decision and a further 77 apartments with communal facilities in North Walsham is in progress. Working with Norfolk County Council we are considering a number of additional proposed sites. It’s a very exciting time for all involved, and we continue to celebrate our companies’ ethos as our two organisations align once again to deliver even more homes for older people.”
