The event took place on Friday the 19th of May at Goals, Redcote Lane, Leeds and proved to be a huge success, raising over £3,000 in funds for the charity.
The event showcased a multitude of 5-aside matches, with each game consisting of 18-minute halves. Starting at 2pm and finishing at 4pm, the participants and spectators were all made up of Lovell Partnership personnel, their contractors and consultants. Throughout the day, there was huge amounts of fun, competitiveness and most importantly fundraising for a very important cause.
Notable teams included Lovell Eastern Team 1, Lovell Eastern Team 2, J R Paley, Harlaxton Engineering Services Limited, Donaldson Timber Limited, STEN Architecture, Dudley's Engineering, M J Robinson Limited, Gowling’s, Gateley and EWI-PRO.
Alongside the participants, the success of the day was made possible through the invaluable support given through sponsorships. Contributions were made by O’Donnell Civil Engineers Ltd, Mortgage Pathways, Trust Green, Lovell Partnerships, Candlelighters, Designer Contracts and Carabella Gifts, helping to create an unforgettable event.
After the matches, attendees enjoyed a tasty spread of food provided generously by Truly Scrummy. Furthermore, a presentation ceremony took place at 4.30pm, recognising the exceptional efforts of the participants and expressing gratitude to the event sponsors - and of course, to name the winners M J Robinson Limited.
The funds raised through this event will play a pivotal role in supporting the invaluable work carried out by Candlelighters, a charity devoted to assisting children and families affected by childhood cancer. Lovell is immensely proud of the contribution made by all the participants, sponsors, and attendees who united to make a profound difference in the lives of those in need.
