The first lesson was a an hour long that took place at the school, which is situated nearby the Chartist Garden Village development, and was attended by Lovell, centered around the theme of ‘networking’.
Drawing inspiration from the educational children’s book ‘The Bumbles of Honeywood’, the lesson was aimed at teaching the students about different career possibilities for their futures and expanding their awareness about those jobs.
The partnership between Lovell and 2B Enterprising allowed necessary resources, such as books and games, to be supplied to Libanus Primary School to make the set of sessions possible, and teach the pupils about important things that are traditionally outside the school curriculum.
Mrs Cox, Teacher and Foundation Phase Leader at Libanus Primary School, said: “We can’t thank Lovell enough for helping to facilitate our Bumbles of Honeywood Programme for our Year 1 and 2 children, and for joining us in our initial “Networking” lesson. Thank you to Lovell for our goodies!”
Gemma Clissett, regional partnerships director at Lovell, said: “We’re so proud of being able to support 2B Enterprising in providing these sessions for the pupils, and to have helped give the children of Libanus Primary School inspiration for their futures.
“2B Enterprising are doing phenomenal work in helping the children broaden their horizons and set them up for becoming wonderful members of the local community.”
Sascha Gill, Business Development Manager at 2B Enterprising, said: "2B Enterprising are delighted to have Lovell support The Bumbles of Honeywood programme, as they lead the way in showing their dedication to inspiring their local communities and our future generation."
Chartist Garden Village is a design and build scheme being delivered by Lovell for Pobl Group and Caerphilly County Borough Council, on the former council office site in Pontllanfraith. The development will consist of 123 open market homes and affordable homes for rent and shared ownership.
