We have donated £3,500 to a primary school near our Drummond Park development in Ludgershall, helping them to create an outdoor classroom.

Ludgershall Castle Primary School, situated under one mile from Drummond Park, used our donation to purchase a shelter, which has been installed in the school’s designated forest area. The shelter will allow forest school sessions for all children to be hosted outside whatever the weather.

The forest school will encourage pupils to engage with nature and be used for a range of activities, such as bug hunting, campfire cooking, gardening, wildlife exploring, storytelling, art and more.

Mr Bridewell, Headteacher at Ludgershall Castle Primary School, said: “Thank you so much to Lovell for supporting our Forest School initiative. The children have benefited from a whole range of exciting learning opportunities and they have been really positive about the experiences on offer. The shelter provided by Lovell will ensure this can continue all year round.”

, regional partnerships director at Lovell, said: “We pride ourselves on our commitment to supporting local communities at Lovell, so are delighted to have donated £3,500 to Ludgershall Castle Primary School.

“The forest school is a brilliant idea that will allow children to get outdoors and learn about the natural environment in a way that is fun and engaging. We hope the pupils have a fantastic time learning in their new outdoor classroom.”

Drummond Park is being delivered in partnership with Homes England, and will consist of 412 homes on the former Defence Medical Equipment Depot. Drummond Park will feature a collection of 309 two, three and four-bedroom open market Lovell homes, as well as 103 affordable homes – 40 per cent shared ownership and 60 per cent affordable rent – for leading housing provider Stonewater.
