The Supply Chain Sustainability School and Lovell

The Supply Chain Sustainability School (SCSS) is an award-winning collaboration that aims to create a more sustainable built environment through knowledge and skill development.

By providing free training and resources, the SCSS empowers supply chains to improve sustainability practices. Lovell has been a proactive partner in this initiative, using the resources available to foster sustainability within their operations and broader supply chain.

Additionally, the SCSS covers topics such as modern slavery awareness, digital construction, and management skills.

Lovell partnership with SCSS

Lovell is a committed partner of the Supply Chain Sustainability School, actively utilising the resources and supporting the organisation's mission. The collaboration with SCSS is driving our dedication to continuous improvement in our construction and regeneration projects.

Accessing resources and training

Employees and supply chain partners have access to a vast array of training modules, sustainability assessments, and best practice guides. These resources cover key topics such as sustainable construction, responsible sourcing, and waste management.

There is an array of different ways to learn from webinars, Lunch ‘n’ Learns, eLearning modules and workshops.

Skill and process development

By participating in SCSS training programs, Lovell employees gain up-to-date knowledge and competencies in sustainability. This continuous learning and development helps in aligning their operations with the latest sustainability standards and practices.

Supporting SCSS initiatives

In addition to utilising the resources, Lovell supports SCSS through various initiatives. We participate in events, contribute to the development of new training materials, and share our own best practices and case studies with the SCSS community. This active engagement not only strengthens their sustainability efforts but also contributes to the overall growth and effectiveness of the SCSS platform.

Homes Leadership Group participation

Lovell is involved in the Homes Leadership Group within the Supply Chain Sustainability School. As an active member of this influential group, we collaborate with other industry leaders to address sustainability challenges and shape the future of sustainable housing.

The Homes Leadership Group provides a platform for members to exchange ideas, share innovations, and develop strategies that aim to promote more sustainable practices in homebuilding.

Supply chain

We require our supply chain members to record and report on their own emissions with a view to reducing them. The Supply Chain Sustainability School is dedicated to supporting its members in embarking on this journey.

The SCSS offers a wealth of resources designed to assist in these efforts, with one of the key tools being the Carbon tool, which is available for free. This tool enables businesses to track their carbon footprint meticulously and devise strategies to reduce their environmental impact.
