Built on the former Pirelli Cable Factory site this is a pioneering venture between Pobl, Newport City Council, Welsh Government and Lovell. To address the urgent need for more housing in Newport, a key commitment was that 60 per cent of homes at Loftus Garden Village were affordable, ensuring they are within reach of people who might struggle to buy or rent privately.

The scheme was completed in 2018 and offered 250 new Arts and Crafts-style homes, set around an imaginatively landscaped green space packed with environmentally-friendly planting.

We are extremely excited to be working with our partners to bring this 21st century-style garden village to Newport. There’s a lot more to Loftus Garden Village than just affordable homes. In addition to creating employment and training opportunities for local people, LGV will be an inclusive community where people can thrive and feel proud to live and grow together.
