In 2015 we began a long-term partnership with West Lothian Council to deliver a major social housing programme, designed to address the shortage of high-quality new council homes in the area.

“West Lothian Council are committed to providing new, affordable homes across the county and we are very proud of our track record in delivering new homes for residents of West Lothian. Creating employment and training opportunities is also a key component of this agreement and this will provide an important benefit for residents. The quality of the homes that Lovell has built to date has been excellent and the council and Lovell have worked well together.”

As part of our commitment to leaving a lasting legacy in the communities where we work, we have provided a wide range of benefits for local people across West Lothian. The programme has so far delivered 26 new apprenticeships and training for 30 existing apprentices. It has also supported 33 site jobs, eight graduate jobs and 35 work experience placements.
An estimated 80 per cent of subcontractors working with us on the programme come from within 40km of the project area, delivering significant and tangible economic benefits for the region.
The programme created 738 new homes for social rent, across 15 individual projects in eight different locations across the county.
